PowerTech 4.5L
The PowerTech 4.5L engine features keel cooling and a high-efficiency heat exchanger configuration, compatible with both naturally aspirated and turbocharged systems. Integrated intercooling technology ensures stable performance. At specific sustained power outputs, it operates below rated RPM, significantly enhancing fuel economy and durability. Specifically engineered for transport boats, workboats, trawlers, and patrol vessels, it serves as the ideal power solution for diverse commercial marine applications.

Description:
To better accommodate the operating conditions and workload intensity of all vessels, John Deere has classified all its models into M1-M5 ratings, enabling users to more effectively select and match equipment for their vessels.
M1~M5 Power Rating Specifications:
- M1: Refers to continuous operation without shutdown restrictions, where the load exceeds 65% during operation.
- M2: Annual operating hours 3000–5000 hours, with 16 hours of operation within any 24-hour period, under load ≤65%
- M3: Annual operating hours 2000–4000 hours, with 4 hours of operation within any 12-hour period, under load ≤50%
- M4: Refers to annual operating hours of 1000–3000 hours, with 1 hour of operation per 12-hour period, where load is ≤40%
- M5: Refers to annual operating hours of 300–1000 hours, with 0.5 hours of operation per 8-hour period, where load is ≤35%
- Example: An engine consumes 160 liters of fuel during an 8-hour operating period, with full-power fuel consumption at 60 liters per hour. The load factor is 160 liters (60 liters/hour × 8 hours) = 33.3%.
- Complies with ISO 8665 and SAE J1228.
- Do not start the engine during the remaining 16 hours.
